The VA Council wishes to thank all of our members and their families for making our union possible.  Seven years of the most openly hostile Executive Branch towards Labor has made us grateful for each other.  This year, please take time to enjoy your family and your friends and prepare to make a change by working diligently to elect a labor friendly President and Congress in 2008.

VA COUNCIL Contract Update

The National Federation of Federal Employees VA Council of Consolidated Locals continues to work to provide the best contract for our Rank and File employees.  Ground rules for Contract negotiations were signed with the Agency in 2001.  After leaving the bargaining table in 2004 and after the VA had signed articles, they are now desiring to change what they agreed to during negotiations.  Articles initialed and signed as agreed to are now being challenged by VA as they apparently do not want to keep their end of the bargain from our Master Agreement negotiations.

As always, your VAC Contract team will work diligently to make certain our Rank and File get a contract they can live with.  We will keep you posted as to progress.
