VA ISSUES

Randy Petzel,  has been confirmed by congress to serve as the Undersecretary for Health.   Petzel has a checkered history in his dealings with NFFE.  He oversaw the firings of numerous Union Officers subsequent to the election of George W. Bush in 2000.  In each and every instance,  unionists were vindicated  and either reinstated with back pay or compensated hundreds of thousands of dollars.   available cases.  The more things change, the more they stay the same....

CONTRACT UPDATE

NFFE- IAM VA Council Contract Negotiations Team is attempting to finalize our recently negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreement.  After nine long years, it appears as if the contract is very close to being completed.  Recent reviews have slowed the progress however we are confident that the Agreement will shortly.  At issue are improper counseling of professional employees
