Small Business Critical Element Averted!

As unbelievable as it may seem, the Administration has tried to make it a CRITICAL ELEMENT for Rehabilitation Professionals to demonstrate that they have considered at a given level, and referred, purchases to certain businesses.  As if CH 31 professional staff don't have enough to do, the VA CH 31 Program actually attempted to REQUIRE Federal Workers to give favor to small businesses in their purchases of services for veterans, and to demonstrate that they have done this or else, face the potential of an employment action.  "Is there no insight into what CH 31 staff do on a daily basis, " stated VA Council President Redding.  "It seems that VBA is hell bent on turning the CH 31 program into a program where the "highest bidder" or "most politically connected" gets to shape what services our veterans get and Professionals who have historically determined services, etc. being rapidly turned into robots with limited decision making authority".  Added Redding.   Stay tuned..
